We are a 501c-3 dog rescue foundation dedicated to rescuing dogs, the day they are to be euthanized, from various Los Angeles shelters and placing them in loving homes. We do NOT take dogs in ... we rescue only from shelters. The Ace of Hearts Foundation is in memory of "Ace", a wonderful American Bull dog who was rescued from death, and touched the lives of many! (Especially founder Kari Whitman!) We rescue all breeds...and don't discriminate against any!

Our adoption days are normally held every Saturday at Pet Co. in West Hollywood at 508 N. Doheny on the south East corner of Doheny and Santa Monica Blvd. from 1 to 4 pm.

The following are the dates for our adoptions through September 2010:

September - 11,25We do show dogs on the weekends that we are not at Petco, after the interested party has filled out the online application (by appointment only).
IMPORTANT - because our schedule is subject to change, please email us if you have any questions, and we can fax you the current schedule and info.
In the greater Los Angeles County shelters alone an average of 475 pets are euthanized daily. There just aren't enough homes for them all. Our goal is to help provide animals a second chance to a happy life and to help reduce pet overpopulation. We save dogs in need and provide them with care and foster homes while they await adoption. We carefully match these pets to new loving and responsible owners. We also try to educate the public on how to be responsible pet owners and on the importance of spaying and neutering. We believe the real solution to pet overpopulation is through spaying and neutering pets. And if you think its ok to breed your little "Fluffy" because she's a purebred, please be aware that over 25% of the animals at shelters are purebreds.

Conditions at this shelter are bad; dogs are left to lie on cold cement, and there are more dogs coming in daily so these dogs have VERY little time. Please take a look at their sweet faces and pass the video on to others so some of these dogs can find homes! This is a time-sensitive video, so don't delay!
